ICASA consists of 33 sexual assault crisis centers and 26 satellite offices. Each center and satellite responds to victims of sexual assault. Staff and volunteers provide counseling, education and advocacy for victims and their families regardless of age, race or income. The rape crisis centers conduct training and prevention programs for local schools, law enforcement, hospitals and civic groups.

The center works to prevent sexual violence through education programs for youths and oversees a school-based family violence prevention program. The center is located in the heart of the Loop to provide easy access to public transportation from all parts of the city.
